Villa Filomena Wedding - Nellie and Nick
We bought a house last year and it is not anything I would ever imagine I would ever live in. It was built in the mid-70's, sits on top of a hill, and is just - well - boring. My idea of a perfect house was built pre-1920 - has quirky things that maybe made sense at the time it was installed but now doesn't. I love ornate woodwork and crown molding and wainscoting. I want to wonder if there are ghosts in the house just by walking in because I sense a warm aura. Nope. That's not what we bought. And I'm not even mad. My husband has assured me that I can do whatever I want to the house and you know what happened when it was negative ba-jillian-michaels degrees the other week? We stayed warm. Nothing broke or exploded. As much as I am in love with old homes, I am no where near prepared to take care of one. So in the meantime, I will just drool over stunner venues like Villa Filomena located on the East side of Milwaukee. It was built in 1874 and boasts details you just don't find in homes built today. On top of that, Nellie and Nick, with the help of Nick's Mom, decked out the mansion in 100's of candles and beautiful flowers. It was the epitome of romantic. It was a perfect match for their truly beautiful classic love story.
