Riveredge Nature Center Wedding - Erika and Chris

I've recently started checking out this Enneagram trend. If you have no idea what I'm talking about it's a way to measure your personality. It is divided into nine different types:

1 THE REFORMER

The Rational, Idealistic Type: Principled, Purposeful, Self-Controlled, and Perfectionistic

2 THE HELPER

The Caring, Interpersonal Type: Demonstrative, Generous, People-Pleasing, and Possessive

3 THE ACHIEVER

The Success-Oriented, Pragmatic Type: Adaptive, Excelling, Driven, and Image-Conscious

4 THE INDIVIDUALIST

The Sensitive, Withdrawn Type: Expressive, Dramatic, Self-Absorbed, and Temperamental

5 THE INVESTIGATOR

The Intense, Cerebral Type: Perceptive, Innovative, Secretive, and Isolated

6 THE LOYALIST

The Committed, Security-Oriented Type: Engaging, Responsible, Anxious, and Suspicious

7 THE ENTHUSIAST

The Busy, Fun-Loving Type: Spontaneous, Versatile, Distractible, and Scattered

8 THE CHALLENGER

The Powerful, Dominating Type: Self-Confident, Decisive, Willful, and Confrontational

9 THE PEACEMAKER

The Easygoing, Self-Effacing Type: Receptive, Reassuring, Agreeable, and Complacent

If you want to see where you fall - you can take the test for free here. I am a 2 (The Helper). It is almost scary how accurate it is. I want to make sure everyone around me is taken care of. One of my biggest fears is making someone else feel bad by something I did or said. I'm definitely going to take it personal if someone says my best friend is their best friend (because she's not). I often put my own needs to the wayside to address the needs of others - even strangers'. I just want to orchestrate harmony for all. Being a "helper" means that people can very easily try to take advantage of that generosity. I'm not naive. I know when I'm being taken advantage of and I can cut off my generosity but when folks are simply gracious, I will continue to give and give and give - expecting nothing in return. Erika and Chris may have some Helper in them because they were so gracious in all that I gave them but they also gave me so much in return. My assistant on the day even remarked at their kindness and consideration of us - "the help." They also were so open and trusting as well as gifted me the most beautiful bird sketch before the wedding. I needed none of this but it'll do! I'm sure you will be able to feel their kindness and love through this condensed walk through their day.
